in the 19th century The Ashberry Hotel is an elegant Victorian townhouse
that has been tastefully refurbished to a very high standard, to give a
very luxurious feeling to the discerning leisure and business traveler.
The hotel is personally supervised at all times by the resident proprietors whose aim is to provide a personal service in pleasant surroundings. We are a non-smoking hotel and children are welcome at all times.
Situated on The Mount, part of the rich architectural heritage of York we are close to the ancient city walls of historic York and only five minutes walk from the Racecourse, railway station, city centre and all the city's major tourist attractions, ideal for visitors on foot.
Dining - Start your day with a hearty breakfast, served in our elegant dining room. A choice of a full English or Continental breakfast is available as per normal and should you let us know in advance, special diets such as Coelic or Vegetarian can be catered for.
Bedrooms - All the hotels bedrooms are en-suite and have been tastefully decorated to provide comfortable accommodation, all equipped to a high standard. Facilities include colour television, hair dryers and tea & coffee making facilities.
On site we have ironing facilities.
The Garden - A unique feature of the Ashberry Hotel is our delightful garden. It is ideal to relax and unwind after a hard day or to bathe in the sun during our summer months. If you should need any help regarding evening entertainment we will be only too happy to help out with any ideas or enquiries on places to visit, tickets to shows or attractions in and around our area.
